| Inje county, situated in the center of the Korean Peninsula, is facing the Chuencheon, Yanggu on the west, Goseung, Sokcho, and Yangyang to the west with Mt. Seolak, and North Korea to the North where DMZ is passing through Inje.

Inje is situated in a mountainous region with about 20 mountains higher than 800m above sea level. 90% of the whole region consists of forestland. 37.2% of the whole cultivated land is on the height from 400 to 1,708m above sea level.
The gross area of Inje, a blessed land has noted mountains such as Mt. Bangtae, Gombaeryeong and Mt. Seorak. Inje has beautiful sceneries at everywhere, covering 1,646.08 km2, which accounts for 9.8% of the Gangwon province. Its administrative districts consist of 1 town and 5 subcounties.
Recently, Inje, passing through the 44th national highway, is becoming an important strategic point which is interconnecting metropolitan area, Seorak area and East Sea area.
Inje boasts of the unpolluted natural beauty. It is famous for its rafting course along the Naerincheon River, and the beautiful Baekdamsa Temple in its midst.
With these in mind, Inje, celebrated with the great natural, ardently seeks to transform itself into the best tourist attractions and resorts enjoyable throughout the year.
